Speech and debate build important skills that our kids will carry with them throughout their lives. Communication, character, critical thinking and analysis, and the ability to collaborate in high-pressure situations are all developed through Speech and Debate training and that is why the Sangam Foundation wants to partner with Idaho schools to empower these skills in our students and ensure our students and coaches have equal opportunities to excel!

2026 NSDA Scholarship Recipients!
June 16, 2026:
The Sangam Foundation of Idaho is a proud first-time sponsor of 26 NSDA attendees across six Idaho schools who qualified for this year's tournament (Borah, Kimberly, Mountain View, Ridge View, Rocky Mountain, Wood River).
The foundation sponsored $25,000 in travel-related scholarships distributed to support students and coaches attending this event.
Our goal is to continue to further STEM education and help students learn and compete in Speech and Debate at the national level.
Congratulations to all scholarship recipients and participants! We enjoyed seeing you and having dinner with you at nationals!
STAIRS
Short for Sangam Training Academy for Idaho's Recognition in Speech and debate, STAIRS is focused on providing training to students wanting to compete at a national level.
We want to partner with local schools and universities to kick off a speech and debate focused training camp to:

Provide training for students and instructors alike

Provide additional opportunities to compete against other schools

Bring in nationally recognized coaches and judges for additional instruction
